Evaluatuion- Chemigrams

Evaluation of the Chemigrams Workshop

Chemigrams are what you create when you develop the film from a film camera to create the film strips.

To enlarge it - put the film strip into the holder in the enlarger so the your image is in the window. Focus the image so the image is sharp and fits into the piece of photographic paper. Time a specific amount of second then put the paper into the development chemicals for 2 mins
Stop bath for 30seconds
Fix for 5 mins
Wash for 10mins
Dry

I enjoyed this workshop because it was one of he first times of using a film camera compared to a digital DSLR. We used varied back drops including black with one light, the seat light to create a bright white background and also green with two lights shinning on the objects.

I feel that Edward Weston was a big influence for my work because the way that his work has so many tonal ranges with in the different pieces.
